Wide Open Spaces

No Bonhoeffer today.  We’ve spent the past two days driving across the United States on Highway 80.  The mountains and trees of California were hard to leave behind.  We made it to Elko our first night.  Except for the rail yard I’m not sure why Elko is there.  We’ve experienced the worst McDonalds lunch ever in Lovelock, Nevada and some of the best pizza we’ve ever had from a local place in Elko.  I didn’t get a good picture crossing the salt flats of Utah, and took this picture as we entered Wyoming.  If there was adequate water there certainly is plenty of space in this country.  After driving through mile after mile of land just like this we stopped in Rawlins for the night.  Time to get to breakfast and hit the road.
